Christmas Party

The evening kicked off with some crab football

We the moved on to the cracker eating competition.

The slow but delicate approach.

The "I don't like crackers, but I'll try".

The shove it all in and hope method.

The winner!!

Then some more normal fool

And finally the jelly eating compertition.
Sorry, the no hands allowed jelly eating compertition.

King of the crackers, but a bit wobberly with jelly.

There is a Scout under there, honest.

If my mouth isn't big enough, I'll use my nose instead.

Look, I've finished.

Nooooooooo, not more!

Oh yes, a lot more!!!
But with 3 bowls, a worthy winner.

We've had enough now.

The jelly inspector.

Climbing Wall

We had an evening at the Twin Peaks Climbing Wall at Star City, Birmingham. It was an excellent evening.

Some were like rats up a drain pipe while others were.... not.

At the end of the evening two more Scouts were invested into the 1st Meriden Scout Troop while clinging on to the wall one handed.

Although it was a bit too much for one of them!

And here are loads of photos of the rest of us.

Campfire Night

On Friday 9th November Meriden Scouts invited the Beavers and Cubs to a campfire night with games, singing, hot dogs, a few skits and lots more singing. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves with reports a few of the songs were heard in the school playground the next week.

There was apple bobbing, sweets in flour and doughnuts on strings. A few people got a bit messy, but I'm not sure how.

Lighting the fire.

Much singing, with actions to help keep warm.

The scary tiger skit.

And at the end of the evening some new Scouts were invested.  Welcome to 1st Meriden Scouts!
