Around the world in 80 minutes

Different challenges for each country and different prices to travel from country to country.

Work out the cheapest route, earn the money, but the tickets and play the games.

CAMP - 26th – 28th April 2013

We are planning to hold a Scout weekend camp at Blackwell Court Scout Campsite on the weekend of
26th to 28th of April.

The plan for the weekend will centre around fundamental camping and scouting skills, building with spars,
backwards cooking on open fires and patrols cooking their own meals (on stoves).

The cost for the weekend will be £30 per Scout and we need permission slips and payment by 18th April at the very latest.

Poles, ropes and balloons

Pioneering to make tripods that turn in to baskets for a basket ball game and then some mayhem with balloons.

Pancakes

Pancake making, cooking, eating and racing.

  

If you are wondering which half of the pancake was caught, the answer was neither!

Space

An evening of surviving a crash landing on the moon, creating a solar system and launching some rockets.

As normal we started with a few games.  I can't even remember what game this was, but I thought the picture was worth publishing any way!

After working through how best to survive on the moon the patrols used balloons to model the planets in our solar system.

After this it was time to shoot for the stars with our film canister rockets.  Many rockets were made, many photos were taken, many take-offs were missed...

And then the trail of a launch finally proved we had lift off.
