End of term games

It was raining, but as there was so much water being thrown around no one seemed to notice!

The Scouts are great sports, a great game of Egg Roulette with no one wimping out.  Then catch with water balloons and more eggs.

The leaders were also soaked, and one egged, much to the Scouts delight.

At the end of the evening 2 (slightly wet and soggy) Scouts were invested, by a very wet and soggy leader.

Have a great summer everyone.  Check back here for the program for next year, coming soon.

Splat of the night from the birthday girl!

The 'winners' from each patrol got to go again in the grand final.
Lucky them!

Loving all the hair towels in the background.

Strategy 2 - More photos

Strategy Weekend

Although Friday night was very wet, and Saturday was pretty damp, this was a great weekend.  Plenty of independence for the Scouts.   A 8 - 10 mile walk on the Saturday with challenges to win points at about 25 different checkpoints was the main feature from a Scouting point of view, but for the Scouts I am guessing the music, disco, games and entertainments on the Sunday were also very good.

About 2000 Scouts attended, with 254 teams taking part on the Saturday challenge.  Meriden came 55th and 122nd.  Great effort, but next year we expect 2 teams in the top 20!

Meriden Sunday Funday

Charity day on the village green.  Lots of fun with silly games including the Scout Fruit Machine, bounce pong and the coin toss.  Lovely weather and a lot of fun.  Plus we got a new Scout mascot!
